Toll-free Program for Electric Vehicles

The Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable has launched a program offering free passage for electric vehicles at the A25 toll road. This program, intended for vehicles registered in Quebec, will continue until April 1, 2027.

To benefit from this program, your electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle must be equipped with a transponder. To submit your application, please complete the registration form below and attach a copy of your registration document along with a photo of your license plate. Once your vehicle’s eligibility is confirmed, we will send you a transponder.

Authorized Vehicles

To be eligible for this Government of Quebec program, your vehicle must fall within one of the three following categories:

• Fully electric vehicles equipped with an electric motor and a battery that can be recharged on the Electric Circuit;
• Electric vehicles with extended range equipped with an electric motor, a battery that can be recharged on the Electric Circuit and a gas generator to produce electricity;
• Hybrid vehicles that can be recharged on the Electric Circuit and are equipped with an electric and a gas-powered motor that work in combination according to the vehicle’s speed and rate of acceleration.
